Shakethia ‘Queen’ Robertson | Fusion Talk Show Creator, Producer
She was born Shakethia Robertson, but you can just call her Queen.
Originally from Houston, TX, Queen grew up as a troubled teen that struggled with communicating with adults. It wasn’t until she joined social clubs in high school that she opened up and found her passion for media and the arts. Queen graduated high school with the goal of creating a teen talk show that will allow teens to express themselves openly and freely amongst each other and in front of adults.
While acquiring her Bachelors in Mass Communication from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA, she fell in love with editing short films and documentaries. In 2009, Queen moved to Atlanta, GA to obtain her Certification of Video Production from the Art Institute of Atlanta. For 3 years, she worked diligently in the Atlanta Indie Film Community bringing scripts for screen as a Film Producer and Editor. It wasn’t until October 2012 that Queen made the decision to finally pursue her own dream of creating a teen talk show. She has dedicated the last 3 years of her life to opening the lines of communication and bridging the gaps between teens and adults through Fusion Talk Show.
It is the south that cultivated her love for expression through communication and film. Queen lives by a motto that lays its roots in her ancestry; “You may not respect my journey, you may question my artistry, but you will Respect My Crown.”
